The Centre for Personnel Talent Management (CEPTAM) under the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) has issued a recruitment notification for 764 vacancies of Senior Technical Assistant-B and Technician-A. Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the online mode as per the official schedule.
DRDO CEPTAM Recruitment 2026
1. Senior Technical Assistant-B (STA-B)
No of posts: 561 posts
Scale of pay: Level 6 (Rs. 35400-112400)
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Diploma in Engineering or Technology or Technical Computer Science or Allied subjects, recognised by AICTE in the respective discipline.
2. Technician-A (Tech-A)
No of posts: 203 posts
Scale of pay: Level 2 (Rs. 19900-63200)
Educational Qualification:
# Xth Class pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institute; and
# Certificate from a recognized Industrial Training Institute in the required discipline; or Certificate of minimum one-year duration from a recognized Institution in the required discipline if the Industrial Training Institutes do not award certificate in that discipline; or National Trade Certificate in the required discipline; or National Apprenticeship Certificate in the required discipline.
Other Criteria of DRDO CEPTAM Recruitment
Age Limit: Candidate must be between 18-28 years of age, as on crucial date of eligibility i.e. 01.01.2026.
Age Relaxation: The relaxation of upper age limit for reserved categories are as follows:

Application Fee: Candidates are required to pay the prescribed fee as per the following categories:
Refundable Fee: An amount of Rs. 500/- shall be refunded only to those candidates who appear in Tier-I exam.
