Assam CEE Counselling 2026
The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam has announced the schedule for Assam CEE 2026 Counselling for admission into various Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) courses offered by government engineering colleges and other participating institutions of Assam.
The counselling process will be conducted completely through online mode. Candidates who have qualified in the Assam Combined Entrance Examination (CEE) 2026 and meet the required eligibility conditions can participate in the admission process.

Eligibility Criteria for Assam CEE Counselling 2026
Age Limit
- Applicants must be at least 17 years old as on 31 December 2026.
- There is no upper age limit.
Citizenship Requirement
- The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- Applicants must be permanent residents of Assam and should possess a valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued by the competent authority.
Candidates applying under the Central Government Employee (CGE) quota, who are not permanent residents of Assam, must provide valid proof of permanent residence from their respective state authorities.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must fulfill any one of the following qualifications:
For 10+2 Candidates:
- Must have passed Higher Secondary (Class 12) examination in one sitting without grace marks.
- Must individually pass both theory and practical examinations in the required subjects.
- Minimum marks required:
- General Category: 45%
- Reserved Category: 40%
For Diploma Holders:
- Candidates with a 3-year Diploma in Engineering & Technology from the State Council for Technical Education, Assam are eligible.
- Minimum required marks:
- General Category: 45%
- Reserved Category: 40%
Other Requirements
- Valid Assam CEE 2026 rank is mandatory.
- Candidates must have good moral character.
- Applicants should be physically and mentally fit.
