Salary
Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary in the pay scale of ₹57,700 to ₹1,82,400 under Academic Level-10, along with other allowances as per Government of Assam rules.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
Applicants must be at least 21 years and not more than 45 years of age as on 1 January 2026.
Age Relaxation
Candidates belonging to the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category are eligible for an upper age relaxation of 10 years, as per the applicable Government of Assam rules.
Educational Qualification
Broad Specialty Departments
Candidates should possess any of the following qualifications in the relevant discipline from an institution recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC), National Board of Examinations (NBE), or Dental Council of India (DCI):
- MD
- MS
- DNB
- MDS
For certain departments, the following qualifications are also acceptable:
- Anatomy: MS (Anatomy) or M.Sc. (Medical Anatomy) with Ph.D. in Medical Anatomy.
- Biochemistry: MD (Biochemistry) or M.Sc. (Medical Biochemistry) with Ph.D. in Medical Biochemistry.
- Physiology: MD (Physiology) or M.Sc. (Medical Physiology) with Ph.D. in Medical Physiology.
Super Specialty Departments
Applicants should have:
- MD/DNB in General Medicine for Cardiology, Neurology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Medical Oncology and related medical super-specialty departments.
- MS/DNB in General Surgery for Plastic Surgery, CTVS, Neurosurgery, Urology, Paediatric Surgery and other surgical super-specialties.
Candidates holding DM, M.Ch., or DNB Super Specialty qualifications in the relevant discipline may receive preference during selection.
