Eligibility Criteria
1. Age Limit (As of 01/01/2026)
- General Requirement: Applicants must be between 21 and 45 years old.
- Relaxation: Persons with Disabilities (PwBD) receive an upper age extension of 10 years across all categories.
2. Educational Qualification
- Broad Specialties: Post Graduate degree (MD / MS / DNB / MDS) in the relevant field recognized by the NMC, NBE, or DCI.
- Anatomy, Biochemistry, and Physiology: M.Sc in the respective discipline with a Ph.D. or MD/MS as per the latest NMC guidelines.
- Super Specialties: MD/DNB in General Medicine (for medical super-specialties) or MS/DNB in General Surgery (for surgical super-specialties). Applicants holding DM, M.Ch., or DNB in the respective super-specialty will receive extra weightage.

How to Pay
- Online (GRAS Portal): Fees can be paid via the Assam Government Receipt Accounting System at
assamegras.gov.in. Note down the post applied for in the remarks column and print the generated Treasury Challan receipt. - Offline (Treasury Challan): Deposit under the head of account:
0210-Medical and Public Health-01-Urban Health Services-800-Other Receipt.
Note: The physical Treasury Challan receipt generated through GRAS must be retained and presented during the interview.
