The recruitment covers eight different categories of positions under the KVKs of Assam Agricultural University.
1. Senior Scientist & Head
- Vacancies: 03
- Pay Level: Level-13A
- Qualification: Doctoral degree in the relevant field of Agriculture, Animal Science, Fisheries, Community Science, Horticulture or Sericulture.
- Experience: At least 8 years of relevant experience in the prescribed fields, excluding the period spent pursuing the Ph.D.
- Desirable: Experience or specialization in implementing extension education programmes.
2. Subject Matter Specialist (SMS)

- Pay Level: Level-10
- Qualification: Master’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science or Fisheries Science from a recognized university.
3. Farm Manager

- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Fishery Science, Horticulture or Sericulture from a recognized university.
4. Programme Assistant
Programme Assistant – Lab Technician / Computer

For Lab Technician:
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Fishery Science, Community Science, Horticulture or Sericulture.
For Computer:

5. Assistant

- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Experience: 5 years of work experience in Accounts and Establishment.
6. Stenographer Grade-III

- Computer Requirement: Minimum 6-month Diploma in Computer Application or equivalent working knowledge.
