Other Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
Candidates must be at least 21 years old and not more than 40 years old as on 1 January 2026.
Age Relaxation
The upper age limit will be relaxed for reserved-category candidates as follows:
- OBC/MOBC: 3 years
- SC/ST(P) & ST(H): 5 years
The applicant’s age will be determined using the date of birth mentioned in the HSLC/Matriculation Admit Card or Certificate issued by a recognized board/council, or another applicable government document.
Nature and Duration of Appointment
The selected candidates will initially be appointed on a temporary contractual basis for six months.
The appointment may subsequently be extended depending upon the requirement and nature of work of the Assam Legislative Assembly Secretariat.
