The Government of Assam has introduced the Chief Minister’s Jibon Prerana Scheme, effective from November 3, 2025, to support fresh graduates in their career journey. This initiative falls under the jurisdiction of the Skill, Employment, and Entrepreneurship Department.
Key Benefits:
- Financial Assistance: Eligible graduates will receive ₹2,500 per month for a duration of one year.
- Direct Transfer: The amount will be transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account.
Eligibility:
- Fresh Graduates: Applies to graduates who passed out in the year 2025.
- Institution Type: Must be from government or public institutions in Assam.
Scheme Objective:
The program aims to provide vital support to young graduates by:
- Facilitating their transition from education to employment.
- Assisting in job searches and preparation for competitive examinations.
- Encouraging the pursuit of self-employment and entrepreneurial opportunities.
This scheme is intended to cultivate a skilled, self-reliant generation, thereby contributing to the prosperity of Assam.
Eligibility Criteria of CM’s Jibon Prerana Scheme
Resident-ship: The applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam.
Educational Qualification: The applicant must be a fresh graduate (2025 pass-out only) from Govt./ Public institutions of state or central government, situated in Assam. Students from open universities and private institutions are not eligible to apply for CM’s Jibon Prerana Scheme.
Employment Status: The applicant should be currently unemployed.
Exclusion:
Following categories of candidates are not eligible to apply for Jibon Prerana Scheme.
- Children of government employees, while children of Class IV employees will be able to receive the benefits.
- Children of ministers and MLAs.
- Children of govt. registered contractor.
- Children of parents earning over Rs 10 lakh annually. How to Apply for Jibon Prerana Scheme?
Applicants need to visit official Digital Infrastructure for DBT Scheme (DIDS) portal for submission of online application this scheme. One needs to follow below mentioned steps to apply online.
Step 1: Scroll down, go to Important Web Links section.
Step 2: Click on One-Time Registration link .
Step 3: A new webpage will be opened.
Step 4: Enter your details as required in the portal; and register yourself.
Step 5: After registration, Click on Online Application Form and Login.
Step 6: Enter all credentials and upload your documents as required in the portal.
Step 7: Finally click on “Submit” and take print out of your submitted application.

Starting date of submission of online application: 3rd November 2025
Last date of submission of online application: 30th November 2025
Institute level verification: By 31st December 2025
Date of DBT Transfer: From 1st February 2026 onwards
