CBSE has issued a recruitment notification on behalf of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) for 14,967 vacancies across teaching and non-teaching categories. Eligible candidates can apply online.
1. Principal
Vacancies: 134 (KVS) + 93 (NVS)
Qualification:
- Master’s Degree with 50% marks
- B.Ed. with 50% marks OR Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. with 50% marks OR 4-year Integrated Degree including B.Ed.
- Relevant experience as Principal/Vice Principal/PGT as per KVS or NVS requirements
- Working knowledge of computers
- Hindi and English proficiency
2. Vice Principal
Vacancies: 58 (KVS)
Qualification:
- Master’s Degree with 50% marks
- B.Ed. or Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. or 4-year Integrated Degree with 50% marks
- Experience as Vice Principal or PGT/Lecturer in Level-10/Level-8 posts
- Computer skills
- Hindi & English proficiency
3. Assistant Commissioner
Vacancies: 8 (KVS) + 9 (NVS)
Qualification (General):
- Master’s Degree with 50% marks
- B.Ed. with 50% marks
- Minimum 3 years’ service as Principal in Pay Level-12
- Computer knowledge
- Proficiency in Hindi & English
4. Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)
Vacancies:
- 1465 (KVS)
- 1513 (NVS)
- 18 PGT (MIL) in NVS
Qualification:
- Integrated PG course with 50% marks including B.Ed. component OR Master’s Degree with 50% marks
- B.Ed. or Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. or 4-year Integrated Degree with 50% marks
- Ability to teach in Hindi and English
PGT (Computer Science):
M.Sc./MCA/M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science/IT with 50% marks + B.Ed./Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
PGT (Physical Education – NVS):
M.P.Ed. with 50% marks
PGT (Modern Indian Languages – NVS):
PG Degree or Integrated PG in the relevant language with 50% marks + B.Ed./Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
5. Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)
Vacancies:
- 2794 (KVS)
- 2978 (NVS)
- 443 (NVS – 3rd Language)
Qualification (General):
- 4-year Integrated Degree with 50% marks OR Graduation with 50% marks + B.Ed./Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
- CTET Paper-II qualified
- Ability to teach in Hindi & English
- Some posts allow B.Ed. (Special Education)
6. Librarian
Vacancies: 147 (KVS)
Qualification:
- Degree in Library Science/Library & Information Science with 50% marks
- Computer knowledge
- Hindi & English proficiency
7. Primary Teacher (PRT)
Vacancies: 3365 (KVS)
Qualification:
- 10+2 with 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
OR
10+2 with 50% + 4-year B.El.Ed
OR
10+2 with 50% + 2-year Diploma in Special Education (RCI) - CTET (Paper-I) qualified
- Ability to teach in Hindi & English
8. Non-Teaching Posts
