🎯 What is PMUY 3.0?

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana 3.0 is the third phase of the government’s LPG access programme aimed at providing clean and safe cooking fuel (LPG) to poor and vulnerable families, especially women, to reduce dependence on traditional fuels like wood, coal, dung cakes, etc. This scheme builds on earlier phases (PMUY and PMUY 2.0) to further expand access across India.

👩‍🦰 Who Can Benefit? Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for Ujjwala Yojana 3.0, the following conditions generally apply:

The applicant must be an Indian citizen.

The applicant must be a woman aged 18 years or above.

The family should not already have an LPG connection in the household.

The family income should be below a specified limit (usually BPL or equivalent economic criteria).

Required documents include:

• Aadhaar Card
• Ration card / BPL Card
• Bank passbook and account details
• Address proof
• Passport size photo
• Mobile number linked with Aadhaar
