The portal covers admissions for Government Colleges, Provincialized Colleges, Private Colleges, PDUAMs, Government Model Colleges, and State Universities of Assam. Through this digital system, students can apply online from home without visiting multiple colleges for form submission.
About SAMARTH Portal
“Samarth” is a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Education launched in 2019 under the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). The platform provides universities and Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) with a fully integrated cloud-based ERP system for managing admissions, academics, administration, and student services digitally.
The Assam Government integrated this system to create a transparent, merit-based, and student-friendly admission process for all eligible candidates across the state.

Assam Government Fee Waiver Scheme
The Government of Assam has linked the Fee Waiver Scheme with the SAMARTH Portal to help economically weaker students pursue higher education.
Eligible students seeking admission into courses like:

- B.Com
- M.A.
- M.Sc.
- M.Com
can apply for tuition fee waiver through the portal.
Important: Only valid Ration Cards will be considered for eligibility under the fee waiver scheme.
How to Apply for Assam College Admission 2026?
Students who passed HS examination and wish to take admission into undergraduate courses in Assam must apply online through the SAMARTH Portal.

Register yourself using basic personal details. Ensure your name and details match your Class X marksheet.

Admission Process in Two Phases
Phase 1
Students need to register and complete their profiles from 11th April 2026, 4 PM onwards.
Phase 2
After declaration of HS/Class 12 results, students can select their preferred colleges and programmes.
Registration will remain open even after programme selection starts.
