SBI Apprentice Recruitment 2026
The State Bank of India (SBI) has published an official employment notification inviting online applications for the recruitment of 7,150 Apprentice positions. This engagement is regulated under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
Applicants must hold a valid Graduate Degree from a recognized University or Institute. The qualification must have been completed on or before April 1, 2026.
2. Age Limit (As of 01.04.2026)
- Minimum Age: 20 Years
- Maximum Age: 28 Years
- Candidate Birth Date Range: Applicants must be born between 02.04.1998 and 01.04.2006 (both dates inclusive). Standard category age relaxations apply as per government norms.
3. Local Language Proficiency
Candidates applying for positions in Assam must be proficient (reading, writing, and speaking) in either Assamese or Bengali.

The final selection list will be prepared based on a two-stage evaluation:
- Online Computer Based Written Test
- Local Language Proficiency Test

The online exam features objective-type multiple-choice questions broken down as follows:

Negative Marking: There is a penalty for incorrect attempts. For each wrong answer, 1/4th (0.25) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.
