The State Level Empowered Committee (SLEC), TET, Assam has activated the admit card download link for the Special Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026. The examination is being conducted for candidates of Bodo, Garo, Manipuri, and Hmar medium schools at both the Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) levels.
Candidates who successfully submitted their applications can now download their admit cards from the official portal starting from 12 June 2026 at 11:00 AM. The Special Assam TET Examination is scheduled to be held on 28 June 2026.
About Special Assam TET 2026
The Government of Assam is conducting the Special Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026 in accordance with the guidelines prescribed by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The examination aims to determine the eligibility of candidates seeking teaching positions in elementary schools under the specified medium categories.
Candidates qualifying in the Special TET will be eligible to participate in future teacher recruitment processes, subject to fulfilling all educational and professional qualifications prescribed by NCTE and the Government of Assam.

Paper-I (Lower Primary: Classes I to V)
Candidates should possess any one of the following qualifications:
- Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and a 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and a 4-Year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
- Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and a 2-Year Diploma in Special Education.
- Graduation along with a 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Paper-II (Upper Primary: Classes VI to VIII)
Candidates should possess any one of the following qualifications:
- Graduation with a 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed. degree.
- Post Graduation with at least 55% marks and an Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. degree.
- Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and a 4-Year Bachelor of Elementary Education.
- Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and a 4-Year B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. programme.
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed. in Special Education.
Relaxation in Academic Marks
Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, MOBC, and PwD categories are eligible for up to 5% relaxation in qualifying academic marks as per government norms.
