Central Bank of India has released the official notification for the recruitment of 4500 Apprentice posts under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Candidates who have completed their graduation and are registered on the NATS portal can apply online for these apprenticeship opportunities across various states of India.

In Assam, a total of 118 apprenticeship seats are available in different districts. Selected candidates will undergo one year of apprenticeship training and will receive a monthly stipend of ₹15,000. The apprenticeship program aims to provide practical banking experience and enhance employability for graduates.

Interested and eligible candidates can submit their online applications from 12th June 2026 to 28th June 2026. The online examination is tentatively scheduled for the first week of July 2026. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria, age limit, application fee, district-wise vacancies, and other important details before applying.

After the completion of apprenticeship training, apprentices may need to go through an assessment test. The certificate will be awarded as per prevailing guidelines

Eligibility Criteria

Age Requirement

Applicants must be at least 20 years old and should not exceed 28 years of age as of 31 May 2026. In other words, candidates must have been born between 31 May 1998 and 31 May 2006 (inclusive of both dates).

Age Relaxation

Reserved category candidates are eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit as per government norms:

  • SC/ST Candidates: 5 years
  • OBC Candidates: 3 years
  • PwBD (General/EWS): 10 years
  • PwBD (OBC): 13 years
  • PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years

Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution approved by the Government of India. Equivalent qualifications recognized by the Central Government will also be considered.

Language Proficiency

Applicants must have adequate knowledge of the local language of the state for which they are applying. The ability to read, write, speak, and understand the language is mandatory. Details of the accepted languages are available in the official notification.

Application Fee

The application fee must be paid online during the submission process. An additional GST of 18% will be applicable on the prescribed fee amount.
