Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for the AIIMS Nursing Officer post must fulfil one of the prescribed educational qualification routes.
Route 1 – B.Sc. Nursing
Applicants must have:
- B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing or B.Sc. Nursing from an institution/university recognised by the Indian Nursing Council or the concerned State Nursing Council.
OR
- B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an institution or university recognised by the Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council.
In addition, candidates must be registered as Nurses and Midwives with the State Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council.
Route 2 – GNM
Candidates with a Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) may also apply, provided that:
- The GNM qualification is obtained from an institution, board or council recognised by the Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council.
- The candidate is registered as a Nurse and Midwife with the State Nursing Council/Indian Nursing Council.
- The candidate has at least 2 years of work experience in a minimum 50-bedded hospital after obtaining the required qualification.
Age Limit
The candidate’s age should generally be between 18 and 30 years as on the prescribed closing date of the application.
Age Relaxation
Relaxation in the upper age limit is available to eligible reserved-category candidates as per applicable government rules:
- SC/ST: 5 years
