ITBP CAPF Medical Officer Vacancy Details

The 282 vacancies are distributed among the following medical posts:

1. Super Specialist Medical Officer (Second-in-Command)

Total Vacancies: 05 Posts

Maximum Age: 50 years as on the final date of application.

Educational Qualification

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Possess an MBBS degree or equivalent recognized medical qualification from a recognized university/institution.
  • Must be registered with a State Medical Council/appropriate medical register.
  • Completion of the compulsory rotating internship is required.
  • A Postgraduate Degree or Diploma in the relevant medical specialty is required.
  • Candidates must possess DM/M.Ch. or an equivalent super-specialty qualification in the concerned field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience after the first postgraduate qualification is required.

2. Specialist Medical Officer (Deputy Commandant)

Educational Qualification

Candidates should have:

  • A recognized MBBS or equivalent medical qualification accepted under the applicable medical regulations.
  • Permanent registration with MCI/NMC/State Medical Council before appointment.
  • Completed the compulsory rotating internship.
  • A relevant Postgraduate Degree or Diploma in the concerned specialty.
  • Candidates with a PG Degree must have 1.5 years of experience in the relevant specialty after obtaining the PG qualification.
  • Candidates possessing a PG Diploma must have 2.5 years of relevant experience after obtaining the diploma.

3. Medical Officer (Assistant Commandant)

Total Vacancies: 115 Posts

Maximum Age: 30 years as on the closing date of application.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must fulfill the following conditions:

  • Possess a recognized MBBS degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Permanent registration with MCI/NMC/State Medical Council is required before appointment.
  • Completion of compulsory rotating internship is required.
  • Candidates who are completing their rotating internship may also apply and appear for the interview, subject to completing the internship successfully before appointment if selected.

Age Relaxation

Relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided to eligible reserved-category candidates according to Government of India rules.
