The Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) has issued the admission notification for the Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) course for the academic session 2026–2027. The admission process is being conducted for Government ANM Training Schools under the Directorate of Health Services (Family Welfare), Government of Assam.
A total of 369 ANM seats are available across 11 Government ANM Training Schools. Admission will be based on the ANM Entrance Examination (ANMEE) 2026, which is scheduled to be held on 11 October 2026.

Assam ANM Entrance Examination 2026
The ANM Entrance Examination (ANMEE) 2026 will be conducted as part of the admission process for Government ANM Training Schools in Assam.
The examination will be an OMR-based written test. Candidates who successfully complete the application process and meet the prescribed eligibility requirements will be able to appear for the entrance examination.

Assam ANM Admission 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

Citizenship
Applicants must be Indian citizens.
Permanent Resident Requirement
Candidates should be permanent residents of Assam and must provide the required proof of permanent residency as prescribed by the authorities.
Gender
The ANM course is open to female candidates only, as specified in the admission requirements.
Age Limit
Applicants must be between 17 and 35 years of age as on 31 December 2026.
Age Relaxation
For eligible Anganwadi Workers, ASHA Workers and trained dais, the upper age limit may be relaxed from 35 years to 42 years, subject to the applicable rules.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have successfully completed Class 12 / Higher Secondary education from a recognized board.
