Assam Skill University (ASU), Mangaldai has invited eligible candidates to attend walk-in interviews for the engagement of 28 teaching and technical personnel on a temporary basis. The vacancies include Guest Faculty, Guest Instructor, Instructor, and skilled workshop positions such as Fitter, Carpenter, Forger & Heat Treater, and Welder.
Candidates who meet the required qualifications can participate in the walk-in interview on the scheduled dates after completing the prescribed application form and carrying the necessary documents.
Vacancy Details
1. Guest Faculty
Number of Posts: 16
Department-wise Vacancies:
- Civil Engineering – 2
- Basic Science & Humanities – 8
- Electronics – 2
- Tourism – 2
- Applied Management – 2
Educational Qualification:
Civil Engineering
- M.E./M.Tech/Integrated M.Tech in Civil Engineering or relevant specializations such as Geotechnical, Structural, Water Resources, Transportation, Environmental Engineering, Construction Technology & Management, or related disciplines.
Basic Science & Humanities
- Master’s Degree (M.Sc./M.A.) in the relevant subject with NET/SLET/Ph.D.
- Subjects include English, Indian Knowledge System (IKS), Mathematics, Statistics, and Physics.
Electronics
- M.Tech in VLSI/Semiconductor System Design or Communication Engineering, or Ph.D. in the relevant field.
Food Technology
Applicants may possess any one of the following:
- B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. with at least 55% marks in Food Technology or a related discipline along with a minimum of 3 years of practical training experience.
- Vocational Degree with 55% marks in Food Technology or allied subjects plus an NSQF Level 4 or higher skill certificate and at least 4 years of relevant practical experience.
- Three-year First Class Diploma in Food Technology with 8 years of practical training experience.
- National Trade Certificate (NTC) or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the relevant trade with more than 8 years of industry/workshop experience.
Tourism
- Master’s Degree in Tourism Management with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university.
- Relevant teaching, industry, or research experience is desirable.
Applied Management
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline along with a regular full-time MBA/PGDM/CA/ICWA/M.Com. with First Class or equivalent.
2. Guest Instructor
Number of Posts: 6

- Civil Engineering – 2
- Basic Science & Humanities – 1
- Electronics – 1
- Food Technology – 2
Educational Qualification:
Civil Engineering
- Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least one year of relevant work experience, or
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
Basic Science & Humanities (Chemistry)
- M.Sc. in Chemistry, or
- B.Sc. with Chemistry as a major and at least two years of relevant experience.
Electronics
- B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering or Diploma in Electronics.
3. Instructor
Number of Posts: 2
Qualification
- Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering with experience in material testing and measurement.
4. Fitter
Number of Posts: 1
Qualification
- ITI in Fitter trade with relevant industrial or institutional experience.
- Retired professionals are also eligible to apply.
5. Carpenter
Number of Posts: 1
Qualification
- ITI in Carpentry with relevant work experience.
- Retired candidates may also apply.
6. Forger & Heat Treater

Qualification
- ITI in Blacksmith trade with relevant experience in industry or educational institutions.

7. Welder

Qualification
- ITI in Welder trade with relevant work experience.
