Admission to Government and Private GNM Training Institutes under the Directorate of Health Services, Government of Assam, will be based on the GNM Entrance Examination (GNMEE) 2026.

SSUHS GNM Admission Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
Applicants must be at least 17 years of age on or before 31 December 2026.
Educational Qualification
Candidates should fulfill any one of the following eligibility conditions:
Option 1
Passed 10+2 with English and secured at least 40% aggregate marks from a recognized Board. Science stream is preferred. Marks of the best three core/elective subjects may be considered while calculating the percentage, excluding English, provided the candidate has passed in English.
Option 2
Passed 10+2 with English and obtained 40% marks in the Vocational ANM Course from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
Option 3
Passed 10+2 with English and secured 40% marks in the Vocational Stream – Healthcare Science from a recognized CBSE or State Board.
Option 4
Candidates who are Registered ANM with pass marks are also eligible.
Physical Fitness
Applicants must be medically fit and capable of undergoing nursing training.
Nationality
Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.
Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC)
A valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) of Assam is compulsory for candidates seeking admission to Government GNM Institutes in the state.
Application Fee
The official application fee for GNMEE 2026 has not yet been announced.
