MHRB Assam Vacancy Details
1. Medical & Health Officer-I (M&HO-I)
Total Posts: 560
Pay Scale: ₹30,000/- to ₹1,10,000/- + Grade Pay of ₹12,700/- and other applicable allowances as per government rules.
Age Limit
Applicants must be:
- Minimum age: 21 years
- Maximum age: 38 years
- Age will be calculated as on 1 January 2026.
- Relaxation in the upper age limit will be available to eligible reserved-category candidates according to applicable Government of Assam rules.
Educational Qualification
Candidates should possess an MBBS degree from a recognized university/institution recognized by the competent medical authority.
Applicants must also be registered with the Assam Medical Council.
NOC Requirement
Eligible doctors currently working under the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Directorate of Health Services (DHS), National Health Mission (NHM), Assam, or other Government of Assam agencies may apply as per the recruitment notification. A separate NOC is not required for submitting the application, as specified in the notification.

These vacancies are available in Government Medical Colleges and Hospitals under the Medical Education & Research Department, Government of Assam.
Salary
Selected candidates will receive a pay scale of approximately ₹57,700/- to ₹1,82,400/- per month, corresponding to Academic Level 10, along with other admissible allowances.
Age Limit
- Minimum age: 21 years
- Maximum age: 45 years
- Age will be considered as on 1 January 2026.
- The prescribed age limit applies irrespective of the category, subject to the conditions mentioned in the official notification.
Age Relaxation for PwD Candidates
Persons with Disabilities (PwD) may receive an additional 10 years of age relaxation, subject to the applicable Government rules and notification.
Educational Qualification
