SSUHS GNM Admission 2026
Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) has released the official notification for admission into GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) courses under the Directorate of Health Services, Government of Assam for the academic session 2026–2027.
Admission will be conducted through an entrance exam named GNM Entrance Examination (GNMEE) 2026. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online on or before 30th May 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Minimum age: 17 years as on 31st December 2026
Educational Qualification
Candidates must fulfill any one of the following:
- 10+2 with English and minimum 40% marks from a recognized board
- Candidates from State Open School / NIOS are also eligible
- Science stream is preferred
- Marks calculation will consider three core subjects (excluding English)
- 10+2 with English and 40% marks in Vocational ANM course
- 10+2 with English and 40% marks in Health Care Science (Vocational stream)
- Registered ANM with pass marks
Other Requirements
- Must be medically fit
- Must be an Indian citizen
- PRC (Permanent Resident Certificate) is mandatory for Govt. institute admission
Application Fee
The application fee for GNMEE 2026 has not been officially announced yet.
However, previous year fees were:
- General: ₹1500/-
- SC/ST: ₹1200/-
- OBC/MOBC/EWS: ₹1200/-
- Other reserved categories: ₹1200/-

About GNMEE Exam 2026
The GNM Entrance Examination (GNMEE) 2026 will be conducted for admission into GNM courses under SSUHS.

- Duration: 2 Hours
- Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Total Questions: 100
- Total Marks: 100 (1 mark for each correct answer)
