The recruitment includes vacancies for both male and female engineering graduates.

Nationality
Applicants must fulfill one of the following nationality conditions:
- Citizen of India, or
- Subject of Nepal, or
- Person of Indian Origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar (Burma), Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire (DR Congo), Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Candidates belonging to categories other than Indian citizens may be required to produce a Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Government of India wherever applicable. This requirement does not apply to Gorkha candidates from Nepal.
Age Limit
Candidates should be 20 to 27 years of age as on 1 April 2027.
Eligible candidates must have been born between:
1 April 2000 and 31 March 2007 (both dates inclusive).
Educational Qualification
SSC (Tech-Men) & SSC (Tech-Women)
Candidates must have:
- Completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) in the relevant discipline, or
- Be studying in the final year of the engineering degree programme.
Final-year students must submit proof of passing the engineering degree examination along with all semester mark sheets by 1 April 2027. The degree certificate must be produced within the prescribed period after commencement of training. Failure to do so may result in recovery of training expenses, stipend, and other allowances as per Army regulations.
For Widows of Defence Personnel
SSCW (Tech) Entry
- B.E. / B.Tech in any approved engineering discipline.
SSCW (Non-Tech) Entry
- Graduation in any recognized discipline.

Candidates must satisfy the prescribed physical standards before joining the training academy.
