Salary and Benefits
Selected candidates will receive remuneration in the pay scale of ₹30,000–3%–₹1,20,000, with an initial basic pay of ₹30,000 per month.
In addition to the basic salary, eligible employees will receive benefits such as Industrial DA, HRA and perks equivalent to 35% of basic pay, according to the applicable POWERGRID rules.
Candidates completing each year of engagement successfully will also be eligible for an annual increment of 3% in the following year.

Educational Qualification and Experience
Field Engineer (Electrical)
Candidates must hold a full-time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. (Engineering) degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent discipline with at least 55% marks.
Applicants should also have one year of post-qualification experience in areas such as design, engineering, construction, testing and commissioning related to rural electrification, distribution systems, sub-transmission, transmission lines or substations. Experience in PSUs, listed companies or the power sector may be preferred.
Field Engineer (Civil)
Applicants should possess a full-time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. (Engineering) degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent discipline with a minimum of 55% marks.
At least one year of post-qualification experience in relevant engineering, construction, testing and commissioning activities associated with transmission and distribution infrastructure is required. Relevant experience in the power sector, particularly with PSUs or listed companies, may be preferred.
Selection Process
The selection procedure will primarily be based on an Interview of eligible and shortlisted applicants.
POWERGRID may conduct a screening test if required to reduce the number of candidates appearing for the interview. The screening test will only be used as an elimination stage and will not carry weightage in the final merit.

The technical section will cover subjects based on the B.Tech-level syllabus, while the aptitude section will include English, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness.
The minimum qualifying score in the screening test is 40% for UR/EWS candidates and 30% for reserved categories.
Interview
Candidates shortlisted after the screening stage will be called for the Personal Interview. Final merit will be prepared based on interview performance.
The interview may be attended in Hindi or English. The minimum qualifying marks are 40% for UR/EWS and 30% for reserved categories.
